Jim, a self-taught artist, has been painting since about 1980. His
paintings are representational, realistically detailed and done in the manner of the old masters.
Retired from work as an aerospace engineer, he paints in a large studio in
their (Jim & Marlene) retirement home. Nestled in the pine trees of northern Arizona, beneath the Mogollon Rim, theirs' is an ideally inspirational setting for creativity. His work has been displayed in numerous invitational art shows and in galleries in
Wickenberg, AZ and the Favell Museum in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
His painting "Comin' Home" took first place award for oil in the 1981 George Phippen Memorial Art show in Prescott AZ. |
